The Royal 601 also keeps an electronic journal ... giving you the ability to run a journal tape at the end of the day. This eliminates the need for a dual printer or carbon tapes.

· 99 departments: Sales analysis by category of merchandise. Each department can be programmed with a name or description of up to 12 characters. Also, program the appropriate tax rate and individual unit prices.

· 1,000 PLUs (Price Look-Ups): For fast, accurate entry of an item: track sales activity of each PLU; program up to a 12 character name or description to easily identify each PLU.

· Computer Serial connection: Connects bar code reader to the register or connect the register to your PC. Software includes a filter that downloads your end of day reports totals directly to your Quickbooks 2002 or Peachtree accounting programs.

· Counterfeit Detector: Advanced UV-ultra-light technology allows you to check new-style US Dollar bills and other paper currency for fluorescent security marks to quickly identify counterfeit bills.

· Dual Alphanumeric Displays: Displays large front and rear displays for easy operator and customer viewing. Two line clerk and one line customer display.

· 26 Clerk Identification System: Provides programmable clerk access for up to 26 different employees; Provides sales analysis by clerk.

· Scrolling Messages: Custom program as many as 5 different text messages up to 42 characters each to scroll across the customer display at various times.

· Automatic tax computation: 4 separate tax rates including Canadian, add-on or VAT. Heavy Duty Locking Cash Drawer: Drawer has 4-slot bill and removable 5-slot coin tray. Built in accessory drawer for easy access and separate storage of rolled coins, pens and pencils, checks, coupons and other items.

· Registration of Cash, Check and Charges Sales: Provides separate totals in management reports; programmable second and third charge keys available to separate charge payments by MasterCard, VISA etc.

· Security System: Security System management control lock, cash drawer lock, managers password, high-digit lockout, management reports.

· Alphanumeric, single-station thermal printer: Uses standard single-ply 57mm thermal paper Training Mode.
