It shreds CD's and credit cards into a separate bin for easy removal. The shredder is environmentally friendly, yielding less trash than strip cut and confetti cut shredders. One standard size kitchen trash bag holds 600 8.5 by 11 inch micro cut sheets of paper, while only 200 confetti cut sheets and 75 strip cut sheets are held. Your CopperHead™ paper shredder is built to shred paper, credit cards and CD's (in the CD slot only) while tolerating staples and small paper clips. It is not built to take large paper clips, adhesive labels, transparencies, cardboard, cloth, continuous forms or any plastic other than credit cards and CDs. Please avoid shredding newspapers and magazine pages. Using it for these purposes may cause damage and voids the warranty.
